Om Power Transmission has secured a significant contract worth ₹12.78 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO). According to an exchange filing, the company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for laying, erection, testing and commissioning of 66 kV underground cables for various transmission lines. The contract is valued at ₹12.78 crore including GST and is scheduled for execution within 24 months from the date of Letter of Acceptance (LoA). This domestic contract enhances the company's infrastructure order pipeline and reinforces its turnkey EPC capabilities in high-voltage segments, with underground cabling solutions carrying lower environmental and maintenance risk for regional utilities compared to overhead grids.
The company demonstrated strong financial growth in the quarter ended June 2026. As reported by Business Standard, standalone net profit increased 25.99% to ₹10.52 crore compared to ₹8.35 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Revenue from operations showed robust growth of 36.88% to ₹121.63 crore from ₹88.86 crore in the year-ago period. The company successfully raised gross proceeds of ₹132.56 crore via its initial public offering in early FY27, utilizing ₹108.56 crore as of June 30, 2026. EBITDA margins remain vulnerable to shifts in the underlying project mix, as seen in Q1FY27 where margins softened slightly to 12.15%.
Following this latest contract, Om Power Transmission's cumulative Q2FY27 order inflows have reached ₹118.98 crore, demonstrating consistent domestic demand. The total Q2FY27 order inflows include the ₹12.78 crore GETCO contract, an ₹82.17 crore turnkey distribution project from PGVCL, and a ₹24.03 crore GETCO contract. This medium-term revenue visibility strengthens with GETCO adding 24 months of steady site progress and billing milestones, positioning the newly listed player for steady mid-term scaling without related-party friction. The company maintains a high order win rate while securing repeat mandates from state-level utilities, with this latest win highlighting the company's specialization in underground cable configurations, a key safety and modernization trend in the regional power transmission sector.
Following the contract announcement, Om Power Transmission's stock price rose 0.29% to ₹172.05 on the BSE. The company clarified that the transaction does not constitute a related-party transaction, with neither its promoters nor members of the promoter group having any interest in the contract. Om Power Transmission operates as an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company focused on power transmission infrastructure, with this latest win strengthening its execution backlog over the next two fiscal years. The award underlines active state-level capital expenditure towards grid modernization, with strong demand for underground distribution lines in high-density regions of Gujarat providing reliable revenue streams for mid-tier EPC players.
