Despite a bearish market environment, Om Infra Limited shares demonstrated remarkable resilience, surging over 3% during Wednesday's trading session. According to reports from Live Mint, the small-cap stock priced under ₹100 opened higher at ₹87.99 apiece on the NSE, which turned out to be its intraday high. This performance came as key benchmark indices, Nifty 50 and Sensex, lost over 0.50% during the same trading session.
The company's strong market performance was driven by impressive quarterly results for Q1FY27. As reported by Live Mint, Om Infra reported a net profit of ₹1,183.11 lakh during the April to June 2026 quarter, representing a substantial 10x year-on-year increase from ₹99.06 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The company's revenue from operations rose 21% YoY to ₹12,070.81 lakh, up from ₹9,977.70 lakh in Q1FY25. Operating performance showed significant improvement with EBITDA margin expanding to 9.01% from 1.26% a year earlier, while EBITDA stood at ₹111 million against ₹13 million in the year-ago period. The company's basic earnings per share (EPS) improved to ₹1.23 compared to ₹0.06 in Q1FY25. Latest financial results show sales of ₹1,243.66 million compared to ₹1,043.41 million a year ago, with net income of ₹114.54 million versus a net loss of ₹9.85 million in the previous year.
The earnings improvement comes alongside a strengthening project pipeline for Om Infra. According to Live Mint, the company has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for two water infrastructure projects in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, with a combined value of around ₹1,050 crore. This development highlights the company's expanding presence in water resource infrastructure and provides a strong foundation for future growth prospects. The engineering segment remained the primary driver of profitability, reporting a segment result of ₹1,259.57 lakh before tax and interest, up from ₹569.34 lakh in Q1FY25, with segment revenue of ₹11,933.37 lakh.
Speaking on the Q1 results, Vikas Kothari, Managing Director of Om Infra, highlighted the company's robust performance, stating that revenue rose 20% and profit surged 900% compared with the same period last financial year. As reported by Live Mint, Kothari expressed confidence that with the two new projects worth ₹1,050 crore, the company expects revenue and profit growth to remain strong during the current financial year. However, investors should note that the Board of Directors approved the unaudited financial results on August 11, 2026, with the results reviewed by statutory auditors Khandelwal Badaya & Co. The auditors noted that they could not verify inventory quantities due to volume and dispersion issues, and interim results for two joint operations were unavailable, limiting the scope of the review.
