
The Odisha government approved 14 investment proposals across 10 districts involving a cumulative investment of ₹2,780.10 crore and employment potential of 14,104 jobs. According to reports from Business Standard, the proposals were cleared at the 149th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg in Bhubaneswar. The projects span diverse high-potential sectors including food processing, textiles & apparel, chemicals, medical devices, electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM), steel and ferro alloys, steel downstream products, and critical infrastructure. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, these approvals reinforce Odisha's ambitious vision of Samruddha Odisha 2036—a prosperous and industrially vibrant state.
Among the largest employment-generating proposals, Sahana Clothing Company Pvt Ltd received approval for a ₹251.45 crore knitted baby and kids wear unit in Dhenkanal district, expected to create 5,104 jobs. In the food-processing sector, Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt Ltd proposed a ₹500 crore snacks and baked-products manufacturing unit across Khordha and Kataka districts with employment potential of 800 jobs. Additionally, Tiwana Nutrition Global Pvt Ltd will invest ₹140 crore in cattle-feed manufacturing expected to generate 2,500 jobs, while Premium Chick Feeds Pvt Ltd will invest ₹105.38 crore in chick-feed manufacturing creating 1,054 jobs across Khordha, Cuttack and Nayagarh districts.
The chemical and pharmaceutical ecosystem will be strengthened with Prasol Chemicals Ltd's ₹450 crore phosphorus-based derivatives plant in Ganjam district employing 458 people. New Generation Manufacturing's ₹80 crore coal tar distillation unit in Sundaragada will create 301 jobs, while Haasvan Rasayan's ₹55 crore bulk drug intermediates facility in Nuapada will generate 70 jobs. Mahatripurasundari Minerals & Metals Private Limited's ₹160 crore integrated ferro alloys and chrome complex in Kendujhar will employ 1,460 people, focusing on value addition in the mineral-rich state.
The medical-device and electronics manufacturing ecosystem will be strengthened with Sastasundar Healthbuddy Ltd's ₹56 crore medical-device unit in Khordha district creating 1,050 jobs. Syrma SGS Technology Ltd's ₹300 crore printed circuit board assemblies and box-build facility in Khordha will create 500 jobs, boosting Odisha's ESDM capabilities. These clearances through the Single Window Clearance System highlight Odisha's investor-friendly approach, offering coordinated and time-bound approvals that accelerate project implementation.
In steel downstream manufacturing, Shree Jagannath Ispat Pvt Ltd will invest ₹90.94 crore in Kataka district to manufacture colour-coated sheets, corrugated and plain GI sheets and GI structural components, employing 230 people. NKS Earthbuild Ltd will set up a structural-steel manufacturing unit in Dhenkanal with an investment of ₹60.98 crore and 148 jobs. Meanwhile, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) has proposed to invest ₹405.35 crore to develop a private railway siding for the Subhadra Coal Mines in Anugola, which will connect with the existing Angul-Balaram Siding and the proposed Gopalprasad station under the Khordha Road Division of East Coast Railway, generating 29 jobs.
