NBCC (India) Ltd. has signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) to collaborate on redevelopment and funding of projects. According to the latest stock exchange filing, HUDCO signed these MoUs with NBCC on April 11, 2026, marking the formal commencement of this strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to accelerate project execution, enhance asset value and support urban infrastructure development. The agreements are time-bound with a validity of 2 years from execution date and subject to annual review, with an option for either party to exit by giving one month's written notice in advance.
Under the first agreement, NBCC and HUDCO will jointly work on the redevelopment of August Kranti Bhawan in Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi, spread over approximately 18,830 sq metres. As per the latest filing, both companies will collaborate and jointly work towards redevelopment of leasehold plot measuring approximately 18,830 sq mt. at Block No. 25, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi. NBCC will be responsible for techno-economic feasibility studies, construction, project management and monetisation of built-up space. The redevelopment initiative is particularly significant given its location in a key commercial hub of the national capital, representing a significant urban infrastructure initiative in the national capital.
The second MoU focuses on asset monetisation activities for NBCC's self-sustainable model projects. According to the latest filing, HUDCO will provide funds for ongoing and upcoming projects of NBCC's self-sustainable model with the permission of Government of India, while NBCC will offer project management and consultancy services. This framework establishes a structured approach for funding and managing sustainable development projects across various locations, with the partnership leveraging the respective strengths of both organisations - HUDCO's financing capabilities and NBCC's expertise in project execution, consultancy, and monetisation. The collaboration is expected to streamline project delivery and improve overall efficiency.
Last month, NBCC received a work order worth about ₹58.61 crore from Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha. As reported by CNBC TV18, the nature of the contract is project management consultancy, demonstrating the company's active project acquisition and execution capabilities in the current period.
Shares of NBCC were trading 0.45% down at ₹88.78 as of 11.42 am on Monday, according to CNBC TV18. The stock has gained 6.73% over the past month, indicating positive investor sentiment despite the recent decline. The market performance reflects investor confidence in the company's strategic partnerships and project execution capabilities, with these MoUs being in the normal course of business and intended to strengthen its project pipeline and financial flexibility.
