MPIL Corporation reported a net loss of ₹17 lakh in the quarter ended June 2026, marking a significant improvement from the ₹365 lakh loss recorded in the immediately preceding quarter Q4FY26. According to the company's unaudited financial results approved by the Board of Directors on August 10, 2026, this turnaround was driven by a sharp reduction in other expenses from ₹357 lakh to ₹11 lakh. The company's total income for the quarter was ₹19 lakh, comprising ₹2 lakh from operations and ₹17 lakh from other income, compared to ₹21 lakh total income in Q4FY26.
The company reported zero sales for both the quarter ended June 2026 and the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. As reported in the latest financial results, total revenue from operations stood at ₹2 lakh, comprising entirely of other operating revenue from business support services, consistent with the prior year's quarter but double the amount recorded in the previous quarter. The absence of revenue generation across both periods indicates operational challenges that may have contributed to the company's financial performance decline.
The financial results show a clear improvement in the company's performance metrics when compared to both the previous quarter and the same quarter in the previous financial year. According to the company's unaudited financial results, the net loss of ₹17 lakh represents a significant contraction from the ₹365 lakh loss in Q4FY26 and the ₹336 lakh loss in Q1FY26. The earnings per share (basic and diluted) were negative ₹2.98, compared to negative ₹64.04 in the previous quarter and positive ₹2.11 in the same quarter last year.
The most notable aspect of this quarter's performance is the drastic reduction in total expenses to ₹36 lakh, down significantly from ₹386 lakh in Q4FY26. As per the company's financial disclosure, employee benefits remained steady at ₹8 lakh, while finance costs increased slightly to ₹15 lakh from ₹15 lakh in the previous quarter but were lower than the ₹9 lakh seen in the same quarter last year. The elimination of the ₹357 lakh hit in other expenses has allowed the company to narrow its loss substantially, indicating that severe losses in FY26 were largely driven by non-recurring or exceptional items rather than core operational inefficiencies.
In addition to the financial results, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Miss Saloni Shah as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, designated as Key Managerial Personnel, effective August 10, 2026. Shah, a qualified Company Secretary with over 15 years of experience, replaces Mr. Hiren Desai, who tendered his resignation on the same date to pursue opportunities outside the company. Desai was relieved from his duties at the close of business on August 10, 2026. The company's paid-up equity share capital remains at ₹57 lakh, reflecting the current capital structure during this period of operational restructuring.
