Maruti Infrastructure's standalone net profit declined 35% to ₹18.12 lakh in Q1 FY27 compared to ₹27.87 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, according to the company's unaudited financial results approved by the Board of Directors on July 28, 2026. The company's financial performance showed significant deterioration across key metrics during the first quarter of fiscal 2027, with the downturn primarily driven by reduced activity in its infrastructure projects segment. The results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and subjected to a limited review by the statutory auditors, Meet Shah & Associates, with all figures presented in accordance with Ind AS prescribed under Section 133 of the Companies Act, 2013.
Sales revenue declined sharply by 66% to ₹587.08 lakh in Q1 FY27 compared to ₹1,709.72 lakh in the same quarter of the previous year, as reported in the company's latest financial results. This substantial revenue decline indicates challenging market conditions or operational difficulties that impacted the company's top-line performance during the quarter, with revenue from operations also falling to ₹587.08 lakh from ₹1,430.47 lakh in Q4 FY26. The significant drop in top-line growth poses challenges for the company's near-term profitability, although lower finance costs provided some offset. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹593.31 lakh, including other income of ₹6.23 lakh, while total expenses amounted to ₹569.10 lakh, comprising cost of materials consumed at ₹509.89 lakh and changes in inventories of ₹17.76 lakh.
The company's operating profit margin (OPM) showed improvement despite the overall decline in profitability, with total expenses decreasing to ₹569.10 lakh from ₹1,678.83 lakh in Q1 FY26, primarily due to lower cost of materials consumed at ₹509.89 lakh versus ₹1,220.74 lakh in the previous year quarter. Finance costs fell significantly from ₹102.61 lakh in Q4 FY26 to ₹17.32 lakh in Q1 FY27, contributing to the stabilization of pre-tax profits relative to the revenue drop. Employee benefit expenses remained stable at ₹10.79 lakh from ₹12.39 lakh in the previous quarter, while depreciation and amortisation remained flat at ₹4.12 lakh. The divergence between the steep revenue decline and the more moderate drop in net profit highlights the impact of reduced interest expenses, with finance costs falling by approximately 83% quarter-on-quarter.
PBT (Profit Before Tax) decreased to ₹24.21 lakh in Q1 FY27 from ₹30.89 lakh in the previous year quarter, while PAT (Profit After Tax) stood at ₹18.12 lakh compared to ₹27.87 lakh in Q1 FY26. Earnings Per Share (basic) was ₹0.02 in the latest quarter, down from ₹0.03 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year and ₹0.04 in Q4 FY25. The sharp contraction in revenue and profit highlights the cyclical nature of Maruti Infrastructure's project-based business model, with absolute margins remaining thin despite some cost efficiency gains. The company's operations continue to fall under a single segment, "Infrastructure Projects," with no separate segment disclosures required under IND-AS 108.
In a separate corporate governance move, the Board approved the re-designation of Mr. Chetan A Patel (DIN: 00185194) from Whole Time Director to Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, effective September 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing general meeting. Mr. Patel brings over 23 years of experience in civil construction for industrial, residential, and commercial projects and is not related to any other director of the company. The results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and subjected to a limited review by the statutory auditors, Meet Shah & Associates, with all figures presented in accordance with Ind AS prescribed under Section 133 of the Companies Act, 2013.
