Mallcom (India) reported a significant decline in profitability for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, with standalone net profit falling 35% year-on-year to ₹6.31 crore. According to the company's unaudited financial results approved by the Board of Directors on July 30, 2026, this represents a substantial deterioration in the company's bottom-line performance during Q1 FY27. The consolidated net profit also contracted by 33% to ₹6.57 crore, while consolidated revenue dipped 11% to ₹109.49 crore, reflecting softer demand in the company's core industrial safety products segment.
The company's standalone revenue from operations declined 9% to ₹108.18 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹118.44 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. As reported in the latest financial results, this revenue contraction was primarily driven by a 32% decline in overseas revenues to ₹44.10 lakh, while domestic sales within India showed resilience with 19% growth to ₹64.08 lakh. This geographic performance divergence highlights the company's continued reliance on the domestic market amidst weaker export performance, with the domestic growth partially offsetting the sharp overseas revenue decline.
Total expenditure decreased marginally to ₹99.94 lakh from ₹105.60 lakh in the prior year, resulting in a profit before tax of ₹843.82 lakh, down 35% from ₹1,301.36 lakh in Q1 FY25. The cost structure showed mixed trends, with cost of raw materials consumed falling to ₹56.79 lakh from ₹62.21 lakh, while employee benefits increased to ₹51.18 lakh from ₹37.28 lakh, indicating rising operational costs despite lower volumes. Basic earnings per share declined to ₹10.12 from ₹15.61 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, reflecting the impact of reduced profitability on shareholder returns.
The Board of Directors approved the re-appointment of Mr. Himanshu Rai as Independent Director for a second term of five consecutive years, effective September 9, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. This strategic move comes as the company navigates challenging market conditions, with the company operating in a single reportable segment of Industrial Safety Products. The results were subjected to a limited review by statutory auditors M/s. Agarwal Maheswari & Co., Chartered Accountants, and were approved pursuant to SEBI regulations for unaudited financial results.
