Lumax Auto Technologies has successfully completed the acquisition of the remaining 15.97% equity stake in Lumax FAE Technologies (LFAE) from Francisco Albero SAU (FAE) on 29 June 2026. According to reports from Business Standard, this acquisition brings the company's total ownership in LFAE to 100%, making it a wholly owned subsidiary effective from the acquisition date. The company has made the intimation regarding this acquisition available on its official website, with the filing signed by Pankaj Mahendru, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer.
Despite the complete ownership transfer, FAE will continue to provide technical support to Lumax FAE Technologies as part of the acquisition agreement. As reported by Business Standard, FAE has also permitted the use of 'FAE' in the name of LFAE for a mutually agreed period, ensuring continuity in the brand identity and technical expertise. This arrangement ensures operational continuity and brand retention despite the change in ownership structure.
The completion of this acquisition transforms Lumax FAE Technologies into a wholly owned subsidiary of Lumax Auto Technologies, providing the parent company with complete operational control over the subsidiary's operations and strategic direction. According to the reports, this consolidation strengthens the group's vertical integration capabilities in the automotive technology sector. The transaction was disclosed under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, following the company's previous intimation dated May 29, 2026, regarding the proposed purchase of the remaining equity stake.
