According to reports from Business Standard, the company's consolidated net profit fell 66.09% to ₹1.58 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹4.66 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. This substantial profit decline reflects challenging market conditions and operational challenges faced by the company during the quarter.
The company experienced a dramatic revenue contraction during the quarter. As reported by Business Standard, sales declined 68.83% to ₹386.59 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹1,240.31 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. This represents one of the most significant revenue declines in the company's recent financial history, indicating substantial business challenges or market conditions that impacted the company's top-line performance.
Despite the significant revenue decline, the company maintained relatively stable operational efficiency metrics. According to the financial data reported by Business Standard, operating profit margin (OPM) remained at 0.50% in Q1 FY27, compared to 0.61% in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company's PBDT (Profit Before Depreciation and Tax) declined 70% to ₹2.68 crore from ₹8.81 crore year-on-year, while PBT (Profit Before Tax) fell 73% to ₹2.24 crore from ₹8.32 crore in the same period last year.
