JSL Industries shares surged 11.09% to close at ₹1,060 following the announcement of its remarkable quarterly turnaround. The stock movement reflects investor confidence in the company's operational improvements and strong financial performance during the March 2026 quarter.
JSL Industries achieved a significant turnaround in its March 2026 quarterly performance, reporting a standalone net profit of ₹119.46 crore compared to a net loss of ₹18.76 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. According to latest reports, this represents a complete reversal of fortunes for the company during the quarter ended March 2026, with the company also reporting pre-tax profit of ₹1.19 crore compared with pre-tax loss of ₹0.18 crore in Q4 FY25.
The company's revenue performance showed robust growth with sales rising 28% YoY to ₹17.28 crore in the quarter ended March 2026, as compared to ₹13.50 crore in the same period of the previous year. As reported by Business Standard, this substantial revenue increase contributed to the overall improvement in the company's financial position during the quarter, with total expenses climbing 22.48% to ₹16.29 crore compared with ₹13.30 crore in Q4 FY25.
The company's cost breakdown for Q4 FY26 shows cost of material consumed at ₹10.73 crore, up 35.82% YoY, while employee benefit expenses remained relatively stable at ₹2.45 crore, up only 0.41% YoY. This cost structure indicates that while material costs increased significantly, the company maintained controlled employee expense growth, contributing to the overall operational efficiency improvements during the quarter.
Despite the quarterly improvement, JSL Industries faced challenges in its full-year performance for the year ended March 2026. According to Business Standard reports, the company's standalone net profit tumbled 48.91% to ₹3.29 crore compared to ₹6.45 crore in the previous year, despite achieving sales growth of 5.22% to ₹56.42 crore during the full year period. The company operates as a manufacturer of various HT and LT products with a modern manufacturing facility at Village Mogar, near Anand, Gujarat, equipped with advanced plant and machinery.
