Jindal Steel Ltd is scheduled to announce its Q2FY27 results on Friday, October 23, with the company's board set to consider and approve unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026. According to Zee Business estimates, the steelmaker may report mixed results for the quarter, with revenue expected to rise 33.7% year-on-year to ₹15,628 crore compared with ₹11,686 crore in the same quarter last year. However, profit after tax (PAT) is projected to remain almost flat at ₹643 crore, up just 0.7% from ₹638 crore in the year-ago quarter.
EBITDA is expected to rise 11% to ₹2,309 crore from ₹2,081 crore in Q2FY26, though the EBITDA margin is estimated to decline to 14.8% from 17.81% a year ago. As reported by Zee Business, higher production volumes are expected to support the company's revenue growth, with the expansion of capacity at the Angul plant and addition of new capacity driving a 24% year-on-year rise in volumes. However, higher costs may limit EBITDA per tonne during the quarter.
According to Zee Business, investors will closely watch management commentary on the increase in coking coal prices and the company's outlook on steel prices and domestic demand. The company's market capitalisation stood at around ₹1.06 lakh crore, with shares closing at ₹1,037 on the NSE on October 22, up ₹9 or 0.88% for the day. The stock opened at ₹1,016 and touched an intraday high of ₹1,040, while its 52-week high is ₹1,306.20 and 52-week low is ₹977.10.
