Indegene reported strong revenue growth in the third quarter of FY26, with revenue surging 30.8% to ₹942 crore from ₹720 crore a year ago, according to reports from CNBC TV18. This performance marked the company's first quarter to cross the $100 million revenue threshold, demonstrating robust topline momentum across its operations.
Despite the strong revenue performance, Indegene faced profitability challenges during the quarter. Net profit declined 6.2% year-on-year to ₹102.9 crore, compared with ₹109 crore in the same period last year. The company's operating margin also narrowed to 17% from 18.2% a year earlier, indicating pressure on profitability despite higher revenues.
Chairman and CEO Manish Gupta highlighted significant operational milestones during the quarter. Revenue per employee crossed $70,000 annually, while three customers achieved annual revenues exceeding $25 million and 52 customers exceeded $1 million in annual revenues. The company also completed strategic acquisitions during the period, including BioPharm, a US-focused life sciences omnichannel business, and Warn & Co, a UK-based consulting firm.
CFO Suhas Prabhu reported that the company maintained a healthy cash position of ₹13,954 million (₹1,395.4 crore), net of acquisition outflows. He emphasized that continued cash generation strengthened the balance sheet during the quarter. The company stated that the notification of four labour codes in November 2025, which consolidate 29 existing labour laws, has no material impact on its financial results based on current assessment.
Indegene shares closed 1.39% lower at ₹469 on the NSE in Thursday's trade, down ₹6.60, according to CNBC TV18 reports. The mixed performance, with strong revenue growth offset by profitability pressures, appears to have contributed to the decline in share price despite the company's significant operational achievements during the quarter.
