
Honeywell Automation shares surged as much as 18.4% to hit an intraday high of ₹35,735 on the National Stock Exchange on Thursday, May 21, following the company's strong quarterly results announcement. On the BSE, the stock advanced as much as 18.55% to touch an intraday high of ₹35,770. According to market reports, this marked the company's biggest single day jump since May 16, 2024, with shares witnessing heavier than usual trading activity as trading volume jumped by 27.2 times to 1.39 lakh shares compared with an average volume of 5,137 shares on the NSE.
According to reports from Honeywell Automation, the company earned a net profit of ₹160 crore in the fourth quarter of financial year 2025-26, marking an increase of 14% from ₹140 crore a year earlier. The company's revenue from operations jumped 6% to ₹1,181 crore in Q4 compared with ₹1,115 crore in the year-ago period. As reported by the company, its EBITDA also known as operating profit rose 16% to ₹1,85 crore and its EBITDA margin expanded by 130 basis points to 15.65%, indicating stable operational performance.
According to the company's announcement, Honeywell Automation's board of directors recommended a final dividend of ₹110 per share and fixed July 16 as the record date for determining entitlement to receive the final dividend for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The company also announced significant corporate changes, approving the appointment of Satish Agarwal as the Chief Financial Officer and a Key Managerial Personnel. Agarwal, a chartered accountant from ICAI and BCom from University of Calcutta, currently serves as CFO of Building Automation business of Honeywell India, ASEAN & East Asia Region, and has worked with PepsiCo and Tata Steel in the past.
As reported by market data, Honeywell Automation shares traded 17% higher at ₹35,290 as of 1:02 pm, outperforming the NIFTY Large Midcap 250 index which was down 0.06%. On BSE, as many as 6,413 shares changed hands compared with an average of 733 shares traded daily in the past two weeks. The company's strong financial performance and positive market response reflect investor confidence in the automation sector's growth trajectory.
