
Highway Infrastructure Ltd has secured ₹245 crore worth of toll operations contracts from Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The key contract involves ₹220.66 crore for toll collection and plaza operations on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway, along with deployment of four patrol-cum-safety vehicles with required personnel. According to the company's stock exchange filing, the contract was signed on September 30, 2026, following the Letter of Acceptance received on September 16, 2026. The agreement covers a two-year period with a provision for extension of up to six months at UPEIDA's discretion.
Under the contract terms, the first-year consideration is ₹105.08 crore, with a 10% annual escalation for the second year. As reported by CNBC TV18, the total contract value of ₹220.66 crore involves collection of user fees and operation of toll plazas along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. The work order also encompasses deployment of the four patrol-cum-safety vehicles with required personnel manning these vehicles. Additionally, the company received a ₹24.46 crore contract from NHAI for operations at Velanchettiyur Fee Plaza on NH-7 in Tamil Nadu, covering user fee collection and maintenance of adjacent toilet blocks for 90 days.
With these contract additions alongside existing tolling operations, Highway Infrastructure Ltd expects its tolling vertical to generate more than ₹400 crore in revenue over the next two years. As per Business Standard, Managing Director Arun Kumar Jain stated that these additions provide greater visibility to the tolling business and reinforce the company's strategy of building a scalable and sustainable infrastructure platform. The company currently operates in 11 states and one Union Territory as an integrated infrastructure platform with operations across tolling, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and real estate.
