According to reports from Business Standard and PTI, Hero MotoCorp has officially announced its entry into Germany through a strategic distribution partnership with the KSR Group. The company will introduce its Euro 5+ compliant product portfolio, led by the XPulse 200 4V series. With this launch, Germany becomes Hero MotoCorp's fifth European market and its 53rd market globally. As India's largest motorcycle maker, this expansion represents a significant milestone in the company's international growth strategy. Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President - Global Business, Global Product Planning and Global Market Insights at Hero MotoCorp, stated that "Germany represents a defining milestone in Hero MotoCorp's global growth journey. Building on our presence in Italy, Spain, France and the UK, our entry now into Europe's largest economy reflects the growing strength of our global business and our long-term commitment to the region."
As reported by Business Standard, Hero MotoCorp will roll out its Euro 5+ compliant line-up in Germany, headlined by the XPulse 200 4V series, starting with two models — the XPulse 200 4V, priced at €2,990, and the XPulse 200 Pro, priced at €3,290. The XPulse 200 4V series runs on a 4-valve engine producing 14.1 kW and 17.35 Nm of torque, featuring three ABS modes — Road, Off-Road and Rally, Bluetooth turn-by-turn navigation, an LCD instrument cluster, LED projector headlamps, long-travel suspension and an upright riding posture. The XPulse 200 4V has an 825mm seat height and a light frame suited to city rides and light trail use, while the XPulse 200 Pro, built for off-roading, gets fully adjustable suspension (250mm front/220mm rear), 270mm ground clearance, an 891mm seat height, raised handlebars and a longer gear lever for off-road boots. The debut featured a curated urban riding experience at Motorworld Metzingen, one of Germany's premier automotive destinations, where guests took an urban test ride showcasing the lineup's performance, technology and design.
As reported by Business Standard and PTI, to support this rollout, KSR Group will initially launch Hero MotoCorp's product range through a network of more than 28 official sales and service outlets across major German cities, with plans to scale up to 30 outlets. An extensive network of authorized dealers and technical service centers will provide seamless after-sales support with reliable service and commercial assistance. The company will back the launch with a five-year warranty — a three-year standard cover plus a two-year extension under a special launch offer, positioning it competitively in the German motorcycle market. Michael Kirschenhofer, CEO of KSR Group, emphasized that the partnership shares a customer-first approach, stating "With the objective of building a network of 30 sales points in Germany, we are confident that Hero MotoCorp is well positioned for a successful market entry." KSR Group also distributes Eicher Motors' Royal Enfield and Japan-based Kawasaki Motors' motorcycles, bringing significant distribution expertise to the partnership.
The Germany entry is part of Hero MotoCorp's broader strategy to diversify beyond India and establish presence in high-value international markets. In October last year, the company had disclosed plans to enter the United Kingdom market with a similar partnership with Lancashire-based distributor MotoGB. This expansion aligns with the company's goal to build a strong international footprint. The company's global business demonstrated robust performance, with Hero MotoCorp closing financial year 2026 with a 40 per cent year-on-year growth in its global business, driven by consistent demand across key international markets. The company operates in 53 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Central and Latin America, serving more than 130 million customers through eight manufacturing plants — six in India and one each in Colombia and Bangladesh — and two R&D centres in India and Germany.
