Heritage Foods delivered strong financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, with standalone profit rising 7.5% to ₹24.77 crore compared to ₹23.04 crore in the same period last year. According to the company's latest financial disclosure, revenue from operations increased 15.9% to ₹1,291.75 crore, up from ₹1,114.30 crore in Q1 FY26. Total standalone income reached ₹1,298.04 crore, representing an increase from ₹1,119.99 crore reported in Q1 FY26. The company's total expenses for the quarter were ₹1,265.19 crore, compared to ₹1,089.96 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The board of Heritage Foods approved the acquisition of an additional 20% stake in M/s. Peanutbutter and Jelly (PBJL), a subsidiary of the company, during a meeting held on 16 July 2026. According to reports from Business Standard, the board meeting was held on this date to finalize the strategic acquisition. The subsidiary is identified as M/s. Peanutbutter and Jelly (PBJL), which holds the CIN number U15400MH2022PLC377342.
The company will invest ₹7.20 crore to acquire the additional stake in the subsidiary. As reported by Business Standard, this represents the total cost of the acquisition for the additional 20% ownership in PBJL. Following this acquisition, Heritage Foods' stake in its subsidiary PBJL will increase to 71%. This strategic move represents the company's continued expansion in its subsidiary operations, with the acquisition demonstrating Heritage Foods' commitment to strengthening its position in the subsidiary business through increased ownership stake.
Beyond the PBJL acquisition, Heritage Foods announced the acquisition of the remaining 5.60% equity stake in Heritage Novandie Foods Ltd (HNFL), which will increase the company's shareholding from 94.40% to 100%, making HNFL a wholly-owned subsidiary. The dairy segment reported revenue of ₹1,291.50 crore for Q1 FY27, up from ₹1,114.09 crore in Q1 FY26. The renewable energy segment contributed ₹3.00 crore, compared to ₹2.10 crore in the prior-year period.
