
Graphite India Limited achieved a significant financial turnaround in Q3FY26, posting a consolidated net profit of ₹68 crore compared to a net loss of ₹20 crore in the same period last year. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the company's revenue from operations surged 22.8% year-on-year to ₹642 crore, up from ₹523 crore in Q3FY25. This marked a complete reversal from the previous year's challenging performance.
The company demonstrated strong operational improvement with EBITDA of ₹42 crore compared to an EBITDA loss of ₹8 crore in the previous year. As reported by CNBC TV18, EBITDA margin stood at 6.6% during the quarter, indicating effective cost management and operational efficiency. On a standalone basis, profit after tax reached ₹100 crore compared to ₹3 crore in the year-ago period, with revenue increasing to ₹643 crore from ₹517 crore last year.
The graphite and carbon segment remained the primary contributor to performance, generating revenue of ₹565 crore in the quarter, up from ₹454 crore a year earlier. According to CNBC TV18, the steel segment reported revenue of ₹66 crore, while other businesses contributed ₹13 crore. The company noted that graphite electrode pricing trends continue to be monitored closely, with inventory write-downs standing at ₹75 crore as of December 31, 2025.
For the nine months ended December 2025, consolidated net profit stood at ₹279 crore compared with ₹412 crore in the corresponding period last year, while revenue from operations increased to ₹2,036 crore from ₹1,894 crore. As reported by CNBC TV18, profit before tax was ₹131 crore, even after accounting for an exceptional charge of ₹27 crore related to the implementation of new labour codes. Management cautioned that earnings remain sensitive to global steel production trends and electrode pricing cycles.
Shares of Graphite India were trading nearly 2% up at ₹630.55 following the Q3 results announcement, according to CNBC TV18. The stock has gained 29.61% in the past year, reflecting positive investor sentiment towards the company's operational turnaround and strong quarterly performance.
