GR Infraprojects Limited has secured a ₹1,453.57 crore highway project from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a highway upgradation project in Gujarat. According to the company's regulatory filing on March 30, the project involves converting an existing two-lane carriageway into a four-lane divided carriageway on a 60.21 km section of NH-56. The contract has been awarded under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) and pertains to Package-VI of the broader highway project.
The project covers a 60.21 km stretch from Nasarpore village in Umarpada Taluka to Malotha village in Vyara Taluka. As reported by CNBC TV18, the company has specified that the project is scheduled to be completed within 910 days from the appointed date. The contract value of ₹1,453.57 crore excludes GST and has been awarded by a domestic entity with no involvement of related parties or promoter group interest in the awarding authority.
Shares of G R Infraprojects ended 1.80% lower at ₹790 on the NSE following the project announcement. According to CNBC TV18, the project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen road infrastructure and improve connectivity along the NH-56 corridor in Gujarat. The award represents a significant addition to the company's order book under the infrastructure development sector.
