
GAIL India announced the establishment of a 600 megawatt (MW) greenfield solar energy project in Uttar Pradesh with 550 MWh co-located BESS, according to the NSE filing. The Maharatna PSU firm made this announcement after market operating hours on Monday, April 13, positioning the company to expand its renewable energy portfolio in the state. As per latest reports, the total investment for the project is estimated at ₹3,294.86 crore, including interest during construction, tax, and associated expenditure. The Company plans to finance the project through a mix of debt and equity.
