According to reports from Business Standard, Excelsoft Technologies delivered impressive financial performance in the quarter ended June 2026, with consolidated net profit rising 57.24% to ₹92.28 crore compared to ₹58.73 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. This significant profit growth demonstrates the company's strong operational performance and effective cost management strategies during the quarter, with the latest results showing PAT margin improvement to 11.50% from 10.54% in Q1FY26.
As reported by Business Standard, the company's sales increased 44.05% to ₹802.63 crore in Q1 FY2026, up from ₹557.18 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. This substantial revenue growth indicates strong market demand and effective business expansion strategies implemented by the company during the quarter, with the revenue mix remaining balanced at 63.4% from Educational Technology Services and 36.6% from Educational Technology Products. The company's workforce expanded to 1,114 employees, supporting its global delivery model, while nearshore operations generated approximately ₹10 crore in revenue during the quarter.
According to the latest financial data, the company's EBITDA increased 29.78% to ₹130.31 crore from ₹100.41 crore year-on-year, though EBITDA margins compressed to 16.24% from 18.02% in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The margin pressure was attributed to specific one-time expenditures of ₹1.46 crore, including ₹84 lakh for recruitment costs to build a scalable leadership organization and ₹62 lakh for AI capability building. Despite the EBITDA margin compression, the company maintained strong bottom-line performance with PBT rising 55% to ₹11.83 crore from ₹7.65 crore in the same period last year. Management highlighted that the moderation in EBITDA margins is a deliberate trade-off for long-term value creation, with ongoing investments in nearshore expansion and AI integration aimed at delivering AI-led products and productivity gains.
The company's client retention remains strong with the top five clients contributing 73% of revenue and the top ten clients contributing 82.6%. The average client relationship tenure among the top ten clients is 11 years, indicating high stickiness in its core assessment and learning solutions business. A key operational highlight is the continued progress of the engagement with AQA, reinforcing Excelsoft's position as a trusted partner for large-scale digital assessment solutions. The company's financial results were submitted to the BSE and NSE on August 07, 2026, with the unaudited consolidated results certified by S M Adithya Jain, Company Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer.
