Enviro Infra Engineers shares surged as much as 3.8% to touch an intraday high of ₹244.48 on Monday, July 6, following the announcement of these significant sewage treatment projects. According to latest market data, the stock was trading at ₹239.63 apiece at 2:15 PM, representing a 1.77% gain on the NSE. The strong market response reflects investor confidence in the company's expanding infrastructure portfolio across water treatment and renewable energy sectors. From the beginning of the year, Enviro Infra Engineers shares have soared 18%, with the stock jumping 33% over the past month and climbing over 19% in the past six months. The company maintains a total market capitalisation of ₹4,203.94 crore as of July 6, 2026.
Enviro Infra Engineers Ltd has secured two significant sewage treatment projects in Uttar Pradesh under the Namami Gange Programme, with a combined order value of ₹256.92 crore (excluding GST). According to reports from Business Standard, the company received two Letters of Acceptance (LoAs) from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) for these infrastructure developments. In two separate NSE filings, the company confirmed that the projects will be executed through its special purpose vehicles - Varanasi Lohta STP Private Limited and Varanasi DDU Nagar STP Private Limited, which were incorporated on June 17, 2026. With these wins, the company has expanded its HAM portfolio to five projects, further strengthening its position as a leading developer and executor of long-term water and wastewater infrastructure under the HAM model.
The first project involves a ₹130.14 crore investment for developing a 60 MLD sewage treatment plant at Lohta, Varanasi, on a Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) basis. The second project is valued at ₹126.78 crore for developing a 45 MLD sewage treatment plant at Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar (DDU Nagar), Uttar Pradesh, also under the HAM model. Both projects have an 18-month construction period, followed by three months of trial operations and 15 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services. Varanasi Lohta STP Private Limited will work as SPV for the first project, while the second project will be executed through Varanasi DDU Nagar STP Private Limited. The projects have been designed as energy-efficient, self-sustaining wastewater treatment facilities that integrate renewable energy solutions to maximise operational sustainability and long-term efficiency. Both projects will maximise energy self-sufficiency by integrating biogas-based and solar power generation systems. The biogas power plant will convert sludge generated during the sewage treatment process into biogas which in turn shall be fed to gas generators to produce electricity, simultaneously addressing sludge management while generating renewable energy. Solar panels installed across available rooftop and ground spaces will generate clean daytime power. Together, these renewable energy systems will lower operating costs, reduce carbon emissions, improve sustainability and enhance the long-term energy resilience of the sewage treatment plants throughout their operational lifecycle.
Demonstrating the company's strong financial preparedness and disciplined execution capabilities, in-principle approvals for term loans have already been secured for both projects, enabling timely financial closure and seamless project mobilisation. This financial readiness positions the company well for the execution of these large-scale infrastructure projects under the HAM model. Both projects are scheduled for completion within 21 months, followed by three months of trial operations and 15 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services, ensuring efficient project delivery through the established SPV framework.
This latest development follows the company's earlier contract award on May 27, 2026, when its step-down subsidiary Suyog Urja Ltd (SUL) secured a ₹207.47 crore contract for land aggregation and balance of plant works for a hybrid renewable energy project. As reported by CNBC TV18, this contract was awarded by CGE 30 Hybrid Energy Private Ltd and involves wind and solar components, expanding the company's diversified infrastructure portfolio. The stock had touched its one-year high of ₹306.40 apiece on July 18, 2025, while its 52-week low of ₹134.71 was hit on March 9, 2026. Sanjay Jain, Chairman of Enviro Infra Engineers, expressed pride in being entrusted with these significant projects by Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Rural) under the Namami Gange Programme. He emphasized the company's commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable, and timely solutions that contribute to the nation's water management and sanitation goals while maintaining the highest standards of engineering and execution.
