
Engineers India Ltd has announced a final dividend of ₹2.50 per share for FY26, representing 50% of the face value at a face value of ₹5 per share. According to BSE filings, the state-owned engineering consultancy firm will seek shareholder approval for this dividend at its 61st Annual General Meeting scheduled for September 18, 2026. The AGM will be conducted through video conferencing and other audio-visual means, with remote e-voting scheduled from September 14 to 17. The company has also declared interim dividends of ₹1.00 per share for FY27, representing 20% of face value, with an ex-date of December 4, 2025 and record date of December 20, 2025.
The AGM will consider the audited standalone and consolidated financial statements for FY26 along with Directors' and Auditors' reports. As reported by BSE filings, the company will also seek approval for the reappointment of Rajiv Agarwal and Arun Kumar, who are retiring by rotation and eligible for reappointment. Shareholders will vote on the appointment of Atul Gupta as Chairman and Managing Director, along with Kahuli Sema and Ashish Kumar Gupta as Non-Official Independent Directors. The company has also completed interim dividend payments for FY27, with the ₹1.00 per share dividend paid on December 4, 2025.
The dividend proposal follows Engineers India's robust performance in Q1 FY27, with the company reporting a net profit of ₹158 crore compared to ₹65.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. According to company reports, EBITDA rose 75.3% year-on-year to ₹126.6 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 15.4% from 8.3%. However, revenue declined 5.8% to ₹820 crore from ₹870 crore in the corresponding quarter. The company has also demonstrated strong operational performance with cash flow from operating activities of ₹303.76 crore in March 2026, significantly higher than ₹91.68 crore in March 2025.
Engineers India shares have delivered a 28.73% return over the past year, with the stock standing at ₹251.89 as of August 26, compared with ₹195.68 a year earlier. As reported by BSE, the stock has traded between a 52-week high of ₹267 and a low of ₹163.55. The stock closed Wednesday's session at ₹251.89, up ₹1.51 or 0.60% from its previous close of ₹250.38. The company maintains a market capitalization of ₹13,468.78 crore and has established a wholly owned subsidiary Certification Engineers International Limited (CEIL) for certification and re-certification services.
