Nuvoco Vistas Corporation, the Nirma group's cement business, reported mixed results for Q4 FY26. The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹140.71 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2026, compared with ₹165.54 crore in the same period last year, marking a decline of approximately 15% year-on-year. However, revenue from operations showed strong growth, increasing 8.7% to ₹3,306.75 crore in the March quarter, up from ₹3,042.25 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total expenses were ₹3,028.04 crore, up 7.27% in the March quarter of FY26.
The company demonstrated strong operational performance with cement sales volume of 20.4 million metric tonnes (MMT) in FY26, registering a 5% year-on-year growth. Premiumisation improved to 43% in FY26, marking a 300 basis point year-on-year increase and maintaining an industry-leading level. As reported by CNBC TV18, this improvement was supported by growth in premium product brands, including Nuvoco Concreto and Nuvoco Duraguard, which continued to gain traction in the construction sector.
Nuvoco Vistas outlined significant expansion plans with its project execution at the Vadraj Cement facilities progressing, with clinker and grinding units scheduled to be operationalised in phases starting from Q3 FY27. The company's planned 4 MMTPA expansion in the East is progressing well and is expected to be completed in phases by FY28, taking the company's total cement capacity to approximately 35 MMTPA. Additionally, the board approved the establishment of a bulk cement terminal at Viramgam, Sachana in Gujarat, with a handling capacity of approximately 1.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA).

The company also approved an investment to acquire a 26% shareholding in Clean Max Ilghop Private Ltd for up to ₹26 crore through a hybrid renewable energy project at the Nimbol Cement Plant. This strategic move aligns with the company's focus on sustainable energy solutions, with the project operating under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model for 25 years.
