Edelweiss Asset Reconstruction Company reported a 15.25% decline in standalone net profit to ₹76.46 crore in the quarter ended June 2026, compared to ₹90.22 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. According to reports from Business Standard, this represents a significant year-on-year decrease in the company's profitability during the first quarter of fiscal 2026.
The company's sales revenue declined sharply by 59.92% to ₹157.84 crore in Q1 FY2026, down from ₹393.80 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous financial year. As reported by Business Standard, this substantial revenue decline indicates challenging market conditions or operational changes that impacted the company's top-line performance during the quarter.
Despite the revenue decline, operating profit margin (OPM) remained relatively stable at 74.99% in the current quarter compared to 91.55% in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. According to the financial data reported by Business Standard, this suggests that while absolute profit decreased, the company maintained a strong operational efficiency ratio during the quarter.
Profit Before Depreciation and Tax (PBDT) declined by 13% to ₹107.06 crore in Q1 FY2026 from ₹123.37 crore in the previous year's corresponding quarter. Similarly, Profit Before Tax (PBT) also decreased by 13% to ₹106.91 crore compared to ₹123.10 crore in Q1 FY2025. These figures, as reported by Business Standard, indicate consistent pressure across the company's profitability metrics during the quarter.
