EaseMyTrip on Tuesday launched a new flight add-on called 'ReSave' that automatically monitors booked itineraries for fare reductions and passes eligible savings back to customers at no additional cost. According to the latest company statement, the feature has been in service for two weeks starting August 18, 2026, addressing the common traveller concern about flight prices falling after tickets have already been purchased. The offering monitors booked flight itineraries for eligible price reductions and helps customers access applicable savings, subject to the plan terms. As reported by Business Standard, this innovative technology-led feature is designed to keep track of booked flight itineraries for any eligible fare drops, allowing customers to benefit from potential savings even after they have completed their bookings. The service eliminates the need for customers to independently track prices as it is integrated into the booking journey.
Unlike standalone fare-tracking tools, ReSave requires no action from the customer after booking. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, the company states that 100 per cent of eligible net savings identified through the process are returned to the traveller. This automatic monitoring system eliminates the need for manual fare tracking and ensures customers receive any available price reductions automatically. Where a qualifying fare reduction is identified under the applicable terms, the entire net savings determined through the ReSave process is returned to the customer without any additional charges. According to Business Standard, if fares move up after booking, the booked fare holds, providing additional protection for travellers. The system performs continuous monitoring automatically and is designed to identify eligible price reductions after a flight reservation has already been completed.
According to Rikant Pittie, CEO and Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, as reported by Business Standard, ReSave embodies the company's commitment to leveraging technology beyond the booking phase, offering customers continued value when fares decline post-purchase. "The next opportunity lies in using technology to create value across the entire travel lifecycle, including after a booking has been made. ReSave is built around this principle of extending our price proposition beyond the point of purchase and giving customers an opportunity to benefit when eligible fares decline subsequently," Pittie stated. This initiative signifies a shift towards enduring customer engagement throughout the travel journey. As reported by Business Standard, for the industry, this represents a broader shift from transaction-led technology towards technology that remains relevant throughout the customer journey.
