Dilip Buildcon Ltd. has been declared the lowest (L1) bidder for a ₹268 crore project in Gujarat, awarded by the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpasar Department. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the project involves designing and constructing the Ged barrage along with protection and allied works across the Sabarmati River in Sabarkantha district. The contract will be executed under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode with a completion timeline of 24 months.
The project will be executed in a joint venture with RBL (DBL-RBL JV), as reported by CNBC TV18. The scope extends beyond construction to include operation and maintenance for a period of 10 years, adding to the long-term revenue visibility for the company. Dilip Buildcon clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic government entity and does not fall under related party transactions.
The Ged Barrage project involves the construction of the barrage and related activities between the Hirpura Barrage and Lakroda Weir in the Sabarkantha district. As per Team Angel One, the project is valued at ₹268 crore excluding GST and will be executed on an EPC basis. In compliance with SEBI regulations, Dilip Buildcon has made necessary disclosures regarding this project and the company's trading window for dealing in securities remains closed until 48 hours after declaring quarterly results for March 2026.
According to CNBC TV18, the project is expected to strengthen the company's order book and further enhance its presence in the water infrastructure segment. This award follows Dilip Buildcon's receipt of an order worth ₹698.49 crore from the Gujarat government in March for the construction of the flood protection embankment on the Narmada River in Bharuch district. Both projects are EPC contracts from the Gujarat government's Narmada Water Resources Water Supply & Kalpasar Department.
As reported by Team Angel One, shares of Dilip Buildcon were trading ₹431.70, up by 1.28% as of April 9, 2026, at 12:56 PM on NSE. The successful bid for the ₹268 crore EPC project in Gujarat underscores the company's capability in executing large-scale infrastructure projects, with the stock showing positive momentum despite mixed investor sentiment over the past six months.
