DEE Development Engineers Limited has entered into a framework agreement with a domestic engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor to jointly pursue business opportunities in India's nuclear power sector. According to the latest disclosure filed under Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Regulations on 16 October 2026, the collaboration aims to strengthen DEE Development Engineers' presence in the nuclear power sector through comprehensive engineering support services. The agreement marks DEE Development Engineers' expanded entry into the nuclear energy space through this strategic partnership, positioning the company upstream in the project lifecycle for potential nuclear piping orders.
The framework agreement covers ongoing and upcoming projects being developed by public and private sector developers, including pressurised heavy water reactors, light water reactors and small modular reactors. As reported in the latest disclosure, the areas of focus include the Nuclear Island covering primary piping and common services, and the Turbine Island covering secondary-cycle piping and light-water systems. The company did not reveal the name of the EPC contractor involved in the partnership for commercial and confidentiality reasons, with the filing explicitly stating no related-party interest or promoter involvement with the counterparty has been identified.
Under the pact, DEE Development Engineers will act as a strategic partner and provide comprehensive support including pre-bid support, design and engineering, manufacturing, supply, and sourcing of piping products, along with related documentation. According to the company statement, its scope will include design and engineering services such as 3D modelling, piping general arrangement, isometrics, stress analysis, piping support design and drawings, material take-offs, and as-built drawings and models. The company will also support the manufacturing, supply and sourcing of piping products and components, along with associated quality, manufacturing, non-destructive testing, testing and end documentation. The EPC contractor's role under the agreement covers sourcing enquiries, customer interaction, offer preparation, contract finalisation in consultation with DEE Development Engineers, and all on-site activities including field fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning.
