
According to the latest financial results, Cura Technologies reported a net loss of ₹27.78 lakh for Q1 FY27, representing an improvement from the ₹0.93 lakh loss recorded in Q1 FY25. The company's financial performance showed mixed signals during this quarter, with revenue declining significantly while expenses were substantially reduced, contributing to the narrower loss position.
The company's revenue from operations dropped significantly to ₹4.82 lakh in Q1 FY27, down from ₹14.06 lakh in the same quarter of the previous financial year, representing a substantial 66% year-on-year decline. Despite lower revenue, Cura Technologies demonstrated effective cost management with total expenses decreasing substantially to ₹32.60 lakh from ₹15.01 lakh in Q1 FY25, resulting in a 54% reduction in expense levels. This cost reduction strategy helped offset the revenue decline and contributed to the narrower loss position.
The company's Board of Directors approved significant leadership changes, accepting the resignation of Whole-time Director and CFO Sangareddypeta Saikiran effective July 30, 2026. His resignation was attributed to other professional commitments and personal reasons, with no material reasons disclosed beyond those stated. The Board appointed Gundam Vijaya Sarathi Reddy as the new CFO, effective the same date. Reddy, aged 49, holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and brings over two decades of experience in accounts and finance from organizations in India and overseas, with no shareholding in the company.
The company's operating profit margin (OPM) turned negative at -260% in Q1 FY27, compared to a positive -7.14% in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. PBDT (Profit Before Depreciation and Tax) declined by ₹0.17 crore to -₹0.17 crore from -₹0.01 crore in the previous year quarter. Employee benefit expenses were ₹0.54 lakh, a significant decrease from ₹3.15 lakh in Q1 FY25, while depreciation and amortization expenses stood at ₹10.62 lakh, up from ₹0.15 lakh in the same quarter last year. The company also incurred finance costs of ₹3.95 lakh in the current quarter, compared to nil in Q1 FY25.
