Clara Industries reported a 13.5% decline in standalone net profit to ₹23.17 lakh in Q1 FY2027, compared to ₹26.80 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. According to the company's unaudited standalone financial results approved by the Board of Directors on September 17, 2026, this profit decline occurred despite achieving significant revenue growth during the same period.
The company's revenue from operations surged by 122.4% to ₹404.09 lakh in Q1 FY2027, as compared to ₹181.67 lakh recorded in the same quarter of the previous financial year. As reported by Clara Industries, this substantial revenue growth indicates strong business expansion or market penetration during the quarter, driven by higher operational activity compared to the previous year.
A key challenge for the company was the significant rise in cost of materials consumed, which increased by 92.3% to ₹493.40 lakh from ₹256.84 lakh in Q1 FY2026. According to the financial data, this disproportionate rise in costs relative to revenue growth resulted in total expenses rising by 153.6% to ₹370.51 lakh against income of ₹404.09 lakh. The margin compression is evident as profit before tax decreased by 6.4% to ₹33.58 lakh from ₹35.88 lakh in the prior year quarter.
Basic earnings per share (EPS) declined to ₹0.09 from ₹0.13 in Q1 FY2026, reflecting the impact of higher costs on profitability. The company's tax expense for the quarter stood at ₹10.41 lakh, comprising ₹9.43 lakh in current tax and ₹0.98 lakh in deferred tax. For the nine months ended June 30, 2026, the company reported total income from operations of ₹1,433.63 lakh against total expenses of ₹1,193.02 lakh, with a cumulative net profit of ₹180.05 lakh, slightly lower than the ₹189.03 lakh recorded in the same period of FY25.
