The board of Ceigall India has appointed Ayyalusamy Saravanan (DIN: 02592825) as an Additional Director / Whole-Time Director, with Saravanan designated as Whole-Time Director & CEO of the company, effective from 01 July 2026. According to Business Standard, these appointments are subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. The strategic move represents a significant shift from family-led management to professional board-level oversight, with Saravanan's GMR Group background bringing institutional knowledge of large-scale project management to streamline execution of the company's ₹12,625 crore order book.
The board also appointed Dr. Pawan Kumar (DIN: 06863880) as an Additional Director / Whole-Time Director on the Board of the company, with effect from 01 July 2026. Both new directors will serve two-year terms from July 01, 2026 to June 30, 2028. As reported by Business Standard, this strategic restructuring is designed to improve execution efficiency for the current order pipeline and represents a professionalization move that signals positive institutional confidence for the company.
The board accepted the resignation of Dr. Sudhir Rao Hoshing (DIN: 02460530) from the position of Whole-Time Director of the company. Hoshing's resignation is effective from the close of business hours on July 15, 2026, due to family commitments and personal exigencies. The company confirmed that Hoshing's resignation is not related to any regulatory issues, with both new appointees being not debarred from holding the office of Director by any SEBI order or other authority. This leadership transition is viewed as a tactical maneuver to de-risk the execution cycle and potentially tap into complex PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects, with the company transitioning from a high-growth regional player to a serious national contender in the EPC space.
According to the latest financial data, Ceigall India reported revenue of ₹3,029 crore in FY24, up 46.5% YoY, with EBITDA margin consistent at ~15% levels. The company maintains a current order book of ₹12,625 crore as of the last audited filing. Over the last 90 days, the company has reported the commencement of work on multiple highway projects in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir, maintaining its status as one of the fastest-growing EPC players in North India. The company recently successfully completed its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in mid-2024, raising funds primarily for equipment purchase and debt repayment.
Mr. Ayyalusamy Saravanan, aged about 55 years, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and brings nearly 33 years of experience in the infrastructure sector, specifically in EPC Highways Projects. His previous leadership roles include Managing Director of MW High Tech Projects India Pvt. Ltd. and positions at GMR Group. Dr. Pawan Kumar, also aged about 55 years, holds a Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee and possesses over 33 years of experience in the infrastructure and construction industry. The appointment is expected to improve project management and potentially lead to faster milestone payments from NHAI, potentially improving cash flows and reducing working capital debt. The infrastructure sector is currently in a 'delivery phase' where companies with large order books are being re-rated based on execution speed, positioning Ceigall India as a resilient player in the ₹12,000 crore+ order book club.
