According to reports from Upstox Securities, Brigade Enterprises declared a 1:3 bonus issue for shareholders after its board meeting on Wednesday, May 6, conducted post-market operating hours. The bonus issue represents a 33% increase in shareholding for existing shareholders, with each shareholder receiving three additional shares for every share held in their portfolio. As per the latest reports, the bonus issue of 1:3 ratio involves one bonus equity share of ₹10 each, fully paid-up for every three equity shares held by shareholders as on record date, subject to approval of company members.
Despite the quarterly profit decline, Brigade Enterprises achieved remarkable pre-sales performance in Q4 FY26. According to PTI reports, the company recorded pre-sales of ₹2,521 crore, representing a 44% sequential increase and marking its strongest quarter of FY26. Managing Director Pavitra Shankar highlighted that this performance was driven by strong new launch absorption and disciplined pricing. The company also reported average realisations improved 9% year-on-year, underscoring market confidence in Brigade's product quality and pricing strategy.
The bonus issue was announced through proper corporate governance channels, with the board meeting conducted after market hours on May 6. The 1:3 ratio indicates that shareholders will receive three additional shares for every share they currently hold in their portfolio. This corporate action typically requires no additional payment from shareholders and is funded through the company's reserves. The board also recommended a final dividend of ₹2 per equity share (20%) of ₹10 each for 2025-26, demonstrating the company's commitment to returning value to shareholders.
As reported by Upstox Securities, the announcement has placed Brigade Enterprises stock in focus among investors. The bonus issue is expected to increase the company's total share count and provide additional liquidity to the market. According to Managing Director Pavitra Shankar, the company enters FY27 with a strong pipeline, balanced portfolio and clear execution focus. The timing of the announcement after market hours suggests the company wanted to ensure proper communication of the decision to all stakeholders, with the strong pre-sales performance indicating positive momentum for future quarters.
