
Bengaluru-based real estate player Brigade Enterprises Ltd. has announced a bonus issue of shares in the ratio of 1:3 for its shareholders, alongside reporting strong annual financial results. The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹725 crore for FY26, compared to ₹680 crore in the previous year, while revenue rose 11% to ₹5,909 crore from ₹5,314 crore year-on-year. The company's board has recommended a final dividend of ₹2 per equity share for 2025-26 and has also proposed the bonus issue, subject to shareholder approval. This will be the first instance that Brigade will be issuing bonus shares for its shareholders in the last seven years, with the company having last issued bonus shares in 2019 in a 1:2 ratio.
The company's real estate segment recorded pre-sales of 6.13 million sq ft translating to a value of ₹7,424 crore, with segmental revenue at ₹4,002 crore, marking 11% growth over 2024-25. According to Brigade's MD Pavitra Shankar, Q4 2025-26 reflected strong sales momentum with pre-sales of ₹2,521 crore, a 44% sequential increase, driven by strong new-launch absorption and disciplined pricing. The average realisation improved 9% year-on-year, underscoring market confidence in Brigade's product quality. During the March quarter, the company reported real estate sales of 1.95 million sq ft with a sales value of ₹2,521 crore, with average realisation standing at ₹12,915, an increase of 7% from a year ago. The company launched around 4 million sq ft across seven projects during the quarter.
Eligible shareholders will be entitled to one free share for every three shares they own as on the record date, which will be determined in due course. The bonus issue is subject to approval from existing shareholders. According to Brigade's March quarter shareholding pattern, the company has 1.5 lakh retail shareholders, or those with authorized share capital of up to ₹2 lakh, who own close to 4% stake in the company. Mutual Funds of India have a 22% stake in the company. The announcement comes as part of the company's quarterly results disclosure, providing shareholders with additional value through the bonus issue mechanism.
Despite strong annual performance, the company posted a net profit of ₹190 crore for Q4, down from ₹249 crore in the corresponding period last year, with revenue standing at ₹1,523 crore compared to ₹1,532 crore. As reported by CNBC TV18, shares of Brigade Enterprises ended 1.8% higher on Wednesday at ₹806. The stock has gained over 200% in the last five years, but trades significantly lower than its 52-week high of ₹1,332. The positive annual results and bonus issue announcement are expected to support the company's stock performance going forward.
