Bharti Airtel has completed a comprehensive 5G network expansion across India, deploying over 6,300 new 5G sites in the past 12 months. According to the company's regulatory filings, this deployment spans 120+ districts and provides high-speed connectivity to over 65 million customers from cities, towns, and remote rural villages. The company stated that customers across all districts of India will benefit directly from this enhanced network footprint. This expansion, completed over the past 12 months, aims to provide faster speeds and wider coverage to support digital transformation and enhance connectivity in both urban and rural areas.
The deployment was distributed across multiple regions with specific site numbers: over 3,400 new 5G sites across Maharashtra and Goa, over 4,300 in Uttar Pradesh East covering 48 districts and 34 million people, over 2,900 in North India across 77 districts serving 28.6 million customers, over 2,750 in Gujarat across 36 districts covering 41+ million customers, and over 2,400 in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh across 87 districts serving 36 million customers. As reported by the company, this network expansion enables high-speed 5G access for citizens, students, micro entrepreneurs, enterprises, and government institutions in both urban and rural markets. The rollout includes an average of over eight new sites activated daily, enabling users to enjoy seamless streaming, rapid downloads, uninterrupted remote working and learning, and dependable digital payments regardless of location.

The deployment covers Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir, with customers across all districts benefiting directly from this enhanced network footprint.
