Bharti Airtel has significantly expanded its family postpaid offerings by bundling Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ across all four plans priced between ₹999 and ₹1,749 per month. According to the latest press release from the company, the telecom operator is enhancing its family postpaid strategy with these Apple services to provide greater value and incentives for customers to upgrade their plans. The new offering is aimed at giving Airtel customers access to cloud storage, entertainment and gaming services under a single postpaid plan, with iCloud+ available exclusively to iOS users. The latest development further broadens Airtel's strategy by adding cloud storage, gaming and streaming services to the mix, giving the telecom operator another lever to make higher-value postpaid plans more attractive to families.
The enhanced family plans offer comprehensive connectivity and entertainment benefits across all price points. The ₹999 plan includes three SIMs with unlimited 4G/5G data, unlimited local/STD calls, 100 SMS, Fast Lane technology, and core benefits like Amazon Prime for six months, Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, iCloud+ and Google One with 100GB cloud storage. The ₹1,199 plan supports four SIMs and adds JioHotstar Mobile for one year, Airtel Xstream Play Premium, Adobe Express Premium for 12 months, free Hello Tunes and Blue Ribbon Bag. The ₹1,399 plan includes Netflix Basic along with all previous benefits, while the ₹1,749 plan supports five SIMs and upgrades Netflix to the Standard plan. All plans include safety features such as fraud link blocking, spam and OTP alerts, positioning Airtel as a comprehensive digital services provider beyond traditional telecom offerings.
The enhanced family plans now include Apple TV which provides users access to the company's original shows and movies, while Apple Arcade offers "unlimited access" to its catalogue of games with no ads or in-app purchase requirements. iCloud+ facilitates the storage, syncing and access to contacts, files, photos, passwords and other important information across Apple's devices. Customers can upgrade to the plans through the Airtel App or by visiting an Airtel store. Amit Tripathi, Director Market Ops at Bharti Airtel, emphasized the strategic value of the integration, stating that the move comes amid ongoing efforts by Indian telecom operators to increase average revenue per user (ARPU) by bundling premium digital services into higher-value postpaid tiers. The telecom operator recently withdrew select prepaid plans priced at ₹299, ₹579, ₹619 and ₹649, with subscribers of the ₹299 plan left with the ₹349 pack as the next option, implying a price increase of around 16%.
The enhanced plan portfolio is designed to offer customers multiple upgrade options with increasing value propositions.
