Shares of Balaji Amines are trading in a 20% upper circuit at ₹1,622.55 on Thursday, following the release of strong Q4 FY26 results. According to reports from Business Standard, this represents the biggest single-day gain for the stock since April 2015, which was the last instance the stock had gained 20%. The stock had previously gained 19% in April 2021 as well.
The company delivered impressive quarterly results with consolidated profit after tax standing at ₹63.21 crore in Q4 FY26, representing a 57.79% increase from ₹40.06 crore in Q4 FY25 and a 101.11% surge from ₹31.43 crore in Q3 FY26. As reported by Business Standard, revenue from operations increased 11.92% year-on-year to ₹394.79 crore in Q4 FY26 from ₹352.73 crore in the year-ago period, while revenue rose 19.16% sequentially from ₹331.30 crore in Q3 FY26. Profit before tax stood at ₹85.86 crore, up 59.18% from ₹53.94 crore in Q4 FY25 and increased 86.69% from ₹45.99 crore in Q3 FY26.
On the cost front, total expenditure increased 2.55% year-on-year to ₹300.54 crore in Q4 FY26, with raw material cost rising 28.02% YoY to ₹231.25 crore. According to Business Standard, employee expenses increased 13.81% to ₹26.04 crore, while interest cost increased 153.49% YoY to ₹2.18 crore and depreciation expense rose 8.14% to ₹13.95 crore. For FY26, revenue from operations rose 2% YoY to ₹1,424.98 crore, while profit before tax increased 9.04% to ₹232.49 crore and profit after tax rose 6.15% to ₹167.20 crore.
The board of Balaji Amines approved a final dividend of ₹11 per share for FY26, though this payout will be subject to approval from shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. According to Business Standard, the company had paid similar dividend payouts in August 2025 and July 2024 as well. Following the earnings announcement, shares of peer companies Indo Amines, Amines & Plasticizers, and Alkyl Amines are also trading with gains between 10% to 13% on Thursday. While Balaji Amines is the top gainer on the BSE Smallcap index, its peer companies also feature in the top five gainers list.
