Avaada Group has signed an initial pact with Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC) to facilitate development of a Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus in Hisar, entailing an investment of ₹10,000 crore. According to Outlook Business, the proposed campus will be powered by reliable, traceable and round-the-clock renewable energy and is designed to support industries seeking to decarbonise their operations, strengthen energy security and enhance their readiness for evolving global carbon and sustainability requirements, including the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, stated that the campus will bring together reliable, traceable and round-the-clock renewable energy with industrial infrastructure designed to support low-carbon and CBAM-ready manufacturing. The MoU provides a framework for cooperation between Avaada and HEPC on investment facilitation and ease of doing business, with HEPC serving as the key interface for coordinating with state authorities and facilitating implementation of the project.
The proposed campus has the potential to generate over 5,000 employment opportunities and will be facilitated by the Haryana government through appropriate industrial-park status, exploration of a customised package of incentives, common infrastructure, connectivity and utilities, and expedited requisite statutory approvals through the state's single-window mechanism. As reported by Outlook Business, the partnership will also attract anchor investors, technology partners and industrial participants to the proposed campus. The proposed campus seeks to bring together renewable energy, industrial infrastructure and green manufacturing within an integrated ecosystem, enabling participating companies to lower the carbon intensity of their operations and meet the growing global demand for low-carbon products and supply chains. The development is expected to enable participating industries to reduce the carbon intensity of their operations and respond to growing demand for low-carbon products and supply chains in global markets.
Avaada Group and the Haryana government will explore joint international investment roadshows across key markets, including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and South Korea, among others, to showcase investment opportunities in the proposed green industrial ecosystem. According to Outlook Business, this international outreach is designed to attract global investors and technology partners to the proposed campus. The initiative aligns with the company's broader strategy to support industries seeking to decarbonise their operations while strengthening India's position in the global low-carbon economy. Under the MoU, the Haryana government, through Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC), will facilitate the development of the proposed campus as a state-supported Green Industrial/Zero-CBAM Industrial Park, with the state government supporting the project through industrial-park status and customised incentives.
Avaada Group has operations across renewable power generation, solar PV manufacturing, green hydrogen and derivatives, battery storage, pumped hydro projects and green data centres. As reported by Outlook Business, this diversified portfolio positions the company to support various industries seeking to transition to sustainable operations. The Hisar project represents a significant expansion of Avaada's industrial development capabilities in the renewable energy sector, with the proposed campus aimed at establishing an integrated industrial ecosystem powered by reliable, traceable and round-the-clock renewable energy.
