
According to reports from Business Standard, Antarctica reported a 20.29% decline in standalone net profit to ₹0.55 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, compared to ₹0.69 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Despite the profit decline, the company demonstrated strong revenue growth with sales surging 709.82% to ₹40.41 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹4.99 crore in Q1 FY26. The company's performance aligns with broader market trends, as SBI Research reports that among 2,257 listed non-BFSI companies, net sales, EBITDA and profit after tax grew 24 per cent, 9 per cent and 4 per cent, respectively in Q1 FY27.
As reported by Business Standard, the company's operating profit margin (OPM) improved to 1.46% in the June 2026 quarter, compared to 20.24% in the same period last year. The profit before depreciation and tax (PBDT) declined 42% to ₹0.59 crore from ₹1.01 crore in the previous year, while profit before tax (PBT) decreased 20% to ₹0.59 crore from ₹0.74 crore year-on-year. These operational metrics reflect the company's ability to maintain margin improvement despite challenging market conditions.
According to SBI Research, the broader economic environment shows positive momentum with the nationwide monsoon deficit narrowing to around 13 per cent after a sharp deficit in June was partly offset by surplus rainfall in July and normal rains in August. The rural outlook has also improved, with Kharif sowing only 2 per cent below the year-ago level, indicating better irrigation coverage. Additionally, the high-income taxpayer segment continues to expand, with the number of taxpayers earning ₹100 crore and above rising 39 per cent to 576 in assessment year 2026, while those earning ₹1 crore and above increased 14 per cent to 5.36 lakh, supporting overall economic growth prospects.
