The Haryana government's Department of Industries & Commerce has successfully executed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Anant Raj Cloud Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Orange Business Services Singapore Pte. Ltd. on October 6, 2026, to promote the state as a destination for global data workloads and strengthen its position as a hub for data centres, cloud services and artificial intelligence infrastructure. The partnership will explore hosting overseas data in Haryana and marketing the state's cloud and data centre services to international customers, with the collaboration coming at a time when Haryana is seeking to expand its digital infrastructure ecosystem, with Gurugram and other emerging locations attracting investments in data centres and technology infrastructure. The agreement was signed through the Department of Industries & Commerce and will cover marketing cloud and data centre services hosted in Haryana to international customers. As per the latest disclosure filed under Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Regulations on October 7, 2026, the MoU involves no financial consideration, no shareholding arrangement, and no joint venture, confirming that no immediate financial commitment is required for this strategic collaboration.
Under the arrangement, Anant Raj Cloud Singapore will undertake global marketing of Ashok Cloud, Anant Raj's cloud platform, and data centre services hosted in Haryana, along with working towards onboarding overseas customers seeking to host their data in the state. Orange Business will explore opportunities to act as a technology partner for data-centre development and cloud services, including infrastructure designed for AI workloads and high-performance computing, with roles covering technology architecture, cloud and AI hardware, technical expertise, and supporting Anant Raj Cloud Singapore's international go-to-market initiatives. The French digital integrator will provide expertise in cloud architecture, AI infrastructure, and high-performance computing, while also supporting go-to-market initiatives in international markets, leveraging its network across 65 countries. Christophe OZER, Head of Digital Infrastructure & Partners APAC at Orange Business, stated that the collaboration brings expertise in cloud architecture, AI infrastructure and managed digital services to support the development of secure and AI-ready environments.
The partnership comes as Anant Raj demonstrates strong operational momentum in its data centre business, with data centre and allied services generating ₹90 crore in revenue during Q1 FY27. The company currently operates 28 MW of IT load capacity across its facilities, comprising 21 MW at Manesar and 7 MW at Panchkula. This operational foundation provides a solid base for the global expansion strategy, with the company's existing infrastructure serving as a foundation for attracting international enterprise data workloads through the new partnership framework.
The agreement comes as Anant Raj expands its planned data centre capacity in Haryana with a disclosed capacity target of approximately 307 MW of IT load across its Manesar, Panchkula and Rai campuses. According to the latest disclosures, the Rai campus in Sonipat holds a potential capacity of around 200 MW of IT load, with the specific allocation of ~200 MW potential to the Rai campus suggesting that over 65% of the planned expansion capacity is concentrated in this single location, highlighting a strategic geographic focus for future growth. Anant Raj currently operates data centre facilities at its Manesar and Panchkula campuses, while capacity expansion is underway. The company has committed to developing around 307 MW of IT load across its Manesar, Panchkula and Rai campuses, with further investments planned in phases, subject to demand, commercial viability and requisite approvals. The disclosed terms indicate that commercial benefit, if any, would materialise through incremental overseas customer onboarding to Haryana-based facilities over time, subject to demand, commercial viability, and requisite approvals.
The partnership marks a significant step in Anant Raj's diversification from traditional real estate into high-tech digital infrastructure. To streamline this transition, the board approved a Composite Scheme of Arrangement on July 21, 2026, to demerge the data centre and cloud business into Ashok Cloud Private Limited. This restructuring, which includes a 1:1 share entitlement ratio for existing shareholders, aims to create a dedicated entity for the expanding digital portfolio. The collaboration also reaffirms Anant Raj Limited's commitment to investments in data centre and cloud services in Haryana through its group entities, building on the company's ₹25,000 crore commitment made in June 2026 under the Make in Haryana event. The partnership leverages the Government of Haryana's Data Centre Policy 2026 incentives and India's relatively competitive capital and operating costs to strengthen the proposition for attracting global data workloads.
The Haryana government has introduced its Data Centre Policy 2026, which provides incentives aimed at supporting investment in data-centre infrastructure, while India's relatively competitive capital and operating costs could further support efforts to attract overseas data workloads. At the national level, India is aiming to offer a competitive cost environment, with relatively lower Capex and operating costs to further strengthening its proposition to attract global data workloads. The positive market response reflects investor confidence in the company's strategic expansion plans in the data centre infrastructure sector, with the partnership positioning Haryana as a preferred global hub for data centres, cloud and AI infrastructure. Shares of Anant Raj Limited were trading at ₹608.80 on BSE compared to the previous close of ₹587.60, with a total turnover of ₹65257460 during the trading session. Anant Raj Limited is a real estate developer headquartered in New Delhi, with projects across Delhi, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and the NCR region spanning residential, commercial, hospitality, and IT park asset classes, having expanded into digital infrastructure through its wholly owned subsidiary Anant Raj Cloud and subsidiary Ashok Cloud Limited, which operates data centre facilities at Manesar and Panchkula in Haryana.
