According to reports from Business Standard, Amber Enterprises India announced that IL JIN Electronics (India) and Schweizer Electronic AG have declared their intent to enter into a strategic cooperation in the field of printed circuit boards. Ascent Circuits, a 60% subsidiary of Amber Enterprises, has entered into a strategic technical partnership with Schweizer Electronic AG to develop advanced PCB solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors. The partnership specifically targets the ₹4,000 crore high-end electronics market and aims to capture a share of the ₹5,000 crore total addressable market for automotive and industrial PCBs in India by 2027, driven by EV adoption. The planned cooperation will combine Schweizer's long-standing experience in automotive and industrial PCB applications with Ascent Circuits' manufacturing footprint and expansion plans in India.
As reported by Business Standard, the partnership facilitates a significant shift in revenue mix from 8% margin AC assembly to 12-15% margin PCB manufacturing, potentially triggering a PE rerating as the company transitions from being 100% dependent on AC manufacturing to a diversified EMS player. The cooperation will create additional value for customers in European and US regions by strengthening supply-chain resilience, broadening sourcing options and preparing a structured path toward future technology capabilities. In the first phase, the partners will focus on selected standard automotive and industrial PCB applications based on existing manufacturing capabilities, with the partnership introducing German power-electronics technology into Amber's domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
According to Business Standard, in a separate filing made on Saturday (27 June 2026), Amber Group informed that it had the ground breaking ceremony of two advanced manufacturing facilities at YIEDA, near Noida International Airport (Jewar), Uttar Pradesh. The first unit is the Ascent-K Circuits facility for advanced HDI PCBs manufacturing, spanning across 16 acres, and approved under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The second unit is Amber Group's Ultra Mega AC manufacturing facility, spanning across 100 acres, to boost domestic production and scale for air conditioner manufacturing. This infrastructure positions the company to capitalize on the global automotive PCB market projected to grow at a CAGR of 7.5%.
The partnership introduces German power-electronics technology into Amber's domestic manufacturing ecosystem, providing a competitive edge in the EV supply chain through access to Schweizer's patented PCB technology. The automotive sector, particularly Electric Vehicles, requires sophisticated PCBs for battery management systems and infotainment, creating a multi-billion dollar opportunity. Recently, another subsidiary, IL JIN Electronics, entered a Joint Venture with Nexxgen to manufacture semiconductor packaging, further cementing Amber's position in the electronics value chain. The company reported a 26.8% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹85 crore for Q4 FY26, despite a 10.5% increase in revenue from operations to ₹4,147.52 crore, with the scrip trading at ₹7,595 on the BSE.
