ACME Solar Holdings through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Suryodaya has successfully commissioned 240.720 MWh capacity of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project located at Village: Sanwara and Mehar Nagar, Tehsil-Pokhran, District: Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. According to latest regulatory filings, the project was commissioned on June 30, 2026, with the commercial operation date (COD) set for July 2, 2026. The commissioning has contributed to positive market sentiment, with ACME Solar shares surging as much as 4% to their 52-week high of ₹396.25 on July 1, 2026.
With this latest commissioning, ACME Suryodaya has achieved a total commissioned capacity of 285 MW / 842.624 MWh. As reported in the regulatory filing, this addition brings the company's total operational storage capacity to the specified levels, expanding its renewable energy storage capabilities in the Rajasthan market. The company had previously commissioned the sixth phase of its BESS project with 38 MW / 80.252 MWh capacity on April 13, 2026, demonstrating consistent expansion in the state's renewable energy storage sector.
The commissioned BESS project is strategically located in Village: Sanwara and Mehar Nagar, Tehsil-Pokhran, District: Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. According to the regulatory filing, this location in the western Indian state positions the facility to serve the regional renewable energy storage needs, supporting the state's clean energy infrastructure development. The project's commissioning has been well-timed to capitalize on the growing demand for energy storage solutions in the region.
The latest commissioning follows ACME Solar's recent expansion activities in Rajasthan. Earlier this month, ACME Solar Holdings Limited through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Sun Power Private Limited commissioned an additional 33.331 MW / 120.384 MWh BESS capacity at Village Badi Sid, Tehsil Bap, across the Phalodi and Jodhpur districts of Rajasthan. The project was commissioned on June 12, 2026, and is scheduled to achieve its commercial operation date on June 14, 2026. The company had also announced the commissioning of an additional 33.333 MW / 160.512 MWh BESS capacity at its Rajasthan facility in Bap tehsil, demonstrating its aggressive expansion strategy in the state's renewable energy storage market.
The positive market response reflects strong investor confidence in ACME Solar's growth trajectory. As per latest market data, ACME Solar shares have rallied over 63.5% in 2026 and surged 27% over the past month. The company successfully concluded its ₹2,800 crore qualified institutional placement (QIP) in June 2026, marking its first equity capital raise since listing in 2024. In Q4 FY26, ACME Solar Holdings reported a 13.3% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹138 crore, supported by higher revenues that rose to ₹705 crore from ₹539 crore in the previous year.
