Aarti Industries shares surged over 5% on Tuesday, October 13, following the announcement of a significant long-term manufacturing agreement. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the stock reached an intraday high of ₹498.40 and was trading 3% up at ₹488.10 as of 3:15 pm. The company's shares have advanced 30% so far in 2026, reflecting strong investor confidence in the new partnership.
The company has signed a 10+ year dedicated manufacturing and supply agreement with a leading global speciality chemical company, as reported by CNBC TV18. The arrangement involves a cumulative revenue potential of approximately ₹1,500 crore (about US$150 million) over the contract period. Under the agreement, Aarti Industries will set up, commission and operate a dedicated manufacturing facility in India to produce a speciality chemical used in high-performance applications, with the manufacturing process based on the customer's proprietary technology.
According to the company announcement, the arrangement will involve a structured financial model to fund capital expenditure of less than US$25 million. As reported by CNBC TV18, the agreement combines the customer's proprietary technology with Aarti Industries' process scale-up, engineering and operating capabilities. Commercial operations are expected to commence in financial year 2028-29, subject to applicable approvals.
Suyog Kotecha, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aarti Industries, highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership. According to CNBC TV18, Kotecha stated that the agreement brings a new global customer into AIL's portfolio and reflects confidence in the company's ability to establish and operate dedicated manufacturing assets to global standards. The long-term domestic supply arrangement is expected to provide sustained visibility while creating a capital-efficient platform for growth.
As reported by CNBC TV18, the company emphasized that localising production through a dedicated facility in India would support supply-chain resilience and the customer's growth plans in the country. The agreement is expected to broaden Aarti Industries' global customer base, strengthen its strategic manufacturing portfolio and create scope to expand the relationship as the customer's requirements in India increase. The partnership establishes a foundation for both organizations to expand their engagement as the customer's India requirements grow.
