Trent Ltd delivered impressive Q4FY26 results with store-led growth and margin gains providing significant earnings lift. According to Mint, the company's standalone revenue grew 20.2% to ₹4,937 crore in Q4FY26, marking the strongest growth in four quarters despite remaining below the over 30% growth rates achieved earlier. The company's gross margin expanded 171 basis points year-on-year to 44.3%, marking the sharpest improvement seen in recent quarters and ahead of analysts' estimates. Growth was driven by net store additions of 22 Westside and 109 Zudio stores in Q4, taking total stores to 300 and 963 respectively as of March 31.
Despite strong Q4 performance, Trent faces significant headwinds including moderating revenue growth and rich valuations. As reported by Mint, the company's standalone revenue growth in FY26 slowed to 18.2% to ₹19,701 crore, down from approximately 40% and 55% in FY25 and FY24 respectively. Management highlighted that consumer sentiment remains cautious with moderation in discretionary demand amid persistent macro uncertainties. The company also flagged early signs of inflation in select raw material costs and some disruption to labour availability for suppliers in certain geographies.
