
Promoters of Premier Energies have offloaded 5.3 percent equity stake in the solar cell and solar module manufacturing company to several domestic and global investors for ₹2,291 crore via block deals on May 25. According to block deals data published on the National Stock Exchange, Surenderpal Singh Saluja, Manjeet Kaur Saluja, Charandeep Singh Saluja, and Jasveen Kaur Saluja sold 2.39 crore equity shares valued at ₹2,290.58 crore at a selling price of ₹955 per share. The selling price represented a 5.29 percent stake in the company's paid-up equity.
Quant Mutual Fund emerged as the largest buyer among 22 investors, acquiring additional 40.83 lakh shares in Premier Energies for ₹390 crore. As reported by the National Stock Exchange, Nomura India Investment Fund Mother Fund picked up 25 lakh shares for ₹238.75 crore, while Smallcap World Fund bought 24.44 lakh shares for ₹233.49 crore. Other global investors including AL Mehwar Commercial Investments, American Funds Insurance Series Global Small Capitalization Fund, ABU Dhabi Investment Authority, and Public Sector Pension Investment Board also participated in the transaction.
According to March 2026 data, the promoter and promoter group shareholding in Premier Energies stood at 63.94 percent before this transaction. Among the participating investors, Quant Mutual Fund through Quant Mid Cap Fund held 2.51 percent stake in the company, while Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company held 1.02 percent as of March 2026. Domestic investors included Nippon India Equity Opportunities AIF, Bajaj Finserv Mutual Fund, Bandhan Mutual Fund, BNP Paribas Funds India Equity, Canara Robeco MF, Edelweiss MF, HDFC Life Insurance Company, HDFC MF, 360 ONE MF, The Beekeeper Capital, Tata MF, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company, Kotak Mahindra MF, Reliance Nippon Life Insurance Company, and SBI Life Insurance Company.
According to reports from the National Stock Exchange, Premier Energies shares closed with moderate gains of 0.16 percent at ₹985 on the day of the block deal. Meanwhile, Global Health shares rose 0.9 percent to ₹1,249.3 on the National Stock Exchange. In a separate transaction, HDFC Mutual Fund bought 10 lakh shares (0.37 percent stake) in Global Health, the operator of multi-specialty tertiary care hospitals chain under the Medanta brand, from Sunil Sachdeva for ₹122.5 crore at a transaction price of ₹1,225 per share.
