The precious metal ended a three-session decline despite escalating tensions in West Asia, with value buying aiding the rally. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold futures for August delivery appreciated by ₹1,038, or 0.72 per cent, to ₹1,44,749 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 10,018 lots. The latest closing price represents a slight uptick from the previous session's recovery levels. However, gold rates in India gained for the second consecutive day on July 10, 2026, with 24 carat gold price surging by ₹3,800 to ₹14,48,200 per 100 grams, as reported by Goodreturns.
Gold prices showed regional variations across major Indian cities, with Delhi recording ₹1.45,360 per 10 grams, while Mumbai led at ₹1.45,610 per 10 grams, as reported by NDTV Profit. Kolkata prices stood at ₹1.45,410 per 10 grams, followed by Chennai at ₹1.46,030 per 10 grams. Hyderabad and Bangalore recorded ₹1.45,840 and ₹1.45,720 per 10 grams respectively. In international markets, spot gold price on US Comex was around $4,121.4 per troy ounce, declining 0.47%, while silver was trading at $60.25 per troy ounce on the exchange, losing 0.82% around 7.25 am today, July 10, according to NDTV Profit. Gold and silver prices were under pressure in international markets after the US Federal Reserve reinforced expectations of interest cuts later this year. Analysts said gold futures in overseas trade pared losses to reclaim the $4,100 an ounce level on value buying after the recent sell-off, though current international trends show continued weakness. However, MCX Gold future has resumed gapped down today at ₹1,44,890, continued to trail over 200-DEMA level placed at ₹1,41,125, as noted by Goodreturns.
Silver prices mirrored gold's performance with silver closing marginally up by 0.03% to ₹2,26,450 per kg on MCX, from its previous close of ₹2,26,377, as reported by NDTV Profit. In major cities, Delhi silver prices were at ₹2,25,920 per kg, while Mumbai recorded ₹2,26,310 per kg. Kolkata silver stood at ₹2,26,010 per kg, with Chennai leading at ₹2,26,960 per kg, followed by Hyderabad at ₹2,26,660 per kg and Bangalore at ₹2,26,480 per kg. 1Kg silver soared by ₹5,000 to ₹2.40 lakh, while 100 grams silver rose by ₹500 to ₹24,000 and 10 grams silver gained ₹50 to ₹2,400, as reported by Goodreturns.

The gold/silver ratio has retraced from the psychological level of 70 yesterday, trailing at 68.15, suggesting silver price may out-perform gold prices, with immediate resistance at 20-DEMA level placed at ₹1,46,617 for gold and immediate resistance at 20 and 50-DEMA levels at ₹223,155 and ₹242,400 for silver respectively.
