BSE, India's oldest stock exchange, has announced the waiver of processing fees for Authorised Persons (AP) registration in the Commodity Derivatives and Electronic Gold Receipt segments until September 30, 2028. According to the exchange's statement issued on Monday, this initiative aims to encourage greater participation of intermediaries in these specialized segments of the exchange.
The waiver applies to both new and existing APs seeking registration in the Commodity Derivatives and Electronic Gold Receipt segments during the specified period from August 24 to September 30, 2028. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, the fee waiver covers registration processing fees but excludes other segments, ensuring targeted support for these specific commodity and gold-related services.
Beyond registration fees, BSE has also waived Annual Maintenance Charges for the same period for both existing and new APs registered exclusively in the Commodity Derivatives and Electronic Gold Receipt segments. According to the exchange's announcement, APs registered in any other segment in addition to these two will continue to be liable for applicable Annual Maintenance Charges as per the prescribed fee structure.
The fee waiver represents a targeted approach, as processing fees for registration of APs in other segments will continue to be levied as per the applicable fee structure. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, this distinction ensures that the waiver benefits are specifically directed toward encouraging participation in the commodity derivatives and electronic gold receipt segments while maintaining the exchange's standard fee structure for other services.
