ESAF Small Finance Bank has launched the ESAF Climate Smart Agriculture Awards 2026, a national initiative designed to recognize and celebrate farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), agri-entrepreneurs and innovators who are championing climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural practices. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the awards aim to encourage innovative farming solutions that enhance productivity, conserve natural resources and strengthen rural livelihoods in the face of climate change.
The awards offer substantial financial rewards for winners, with ₹50,000 for the winner and ₹25,000 for the runner-up, along with trophies and certificates of excellence. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, applications will be evaluated based on innovation, climate resilience, community impact, improvement in farm productivity and income, and the scalability of sustainable farming practices. Shortlisted participants will also gain opportunities for networking and collaboration within the agriculture ecosystem.
Applications are currently open until September 30, 2026, with shortlisted applicants to be announced in the first week of December 2026. According to the bank's announcement, winners will be honoured on December 23, 2026, marking National Farmers Day. Interested applicants can submit their entries online through the dedicated survey link or send physical applications to the Sustainable Banking Department at ESAF Small Finance Bank's corporate office in Kerala.
