Full-stack digital infrastructure and tokenisation technology company Kalp Digital Infrastructure Corp and UAE-based all-in-one business management super-platform Peko announced a strategic collaboration on Sunday, June 14 to build the digital infrastructure backbone for the next generation of small and medium enterprise (SME) finance and commerce. According to reports from Zee News, both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate Kalp's digital infrastructure into the Peko platform, with the partnership specifically aimed at providing businesses with digital payment systems, digital wallets, asset tokenisation tools and technology that can automate certain commercial transactions. As reported by Zee News, this integration is designed to make institutional-grade digital infrastructure accessible through platforms and partners that businesses already trust.
Under the collaboration, both companies will work together to integrate Kalp's digital infrastructure into the Peko platform, bringing a permissioned distributed ledger technology (DLT) layer, programmable digital-cash and value-movement infrastructure, a digital-asset wallet and key-management environment, agentic commerce capabilities and tokenisation infrastructure to businesses served directly and through institutional partners. As reported by Zee News, this integration is designed to make institutional-grade digital infrastructure accessible through platforms and partners that businesses already trust. Kalp provides the foundational digital infrastructure that sits beneath such platforms, engineered to be white-labelled and embedded so that partners can offer advanced digital-asset and programmable-finance capabilities under their own brand.
Peko has rapidly become the operating system for modern businesses across the UAE and wider region, delivering more than 50 integrated services -- from invoicing, payments and payroll to company formation, corporate travel and insurance -- both directly and on a white-labelled basis to banks, free zones, government entities and other enablers of the SME ecosystem. According to Zee News, the platform was started in Dubai in 2022 and offers services that help businesses handle money matters including finance, payments, payroll, employee expenses, setting up companies, travel bookings and insurance. In December 2025, International Holding Company (IHC) bought a controlling stake in Peko, marking a significant milestone for the platform's growth trajectory.
Kashif Ahmad Khan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Peko, stated that the partnership is intended to strengthen the technology available to businesses and improve the way financial and operational services are delivered. As reported by Zee News, Tapan Sangal, Co-Founder of Kalp Digital Infrastructure Corp, emphasized that the collaboration would help bring advanced financial technology to a wider SME customer base. Mrityunjaya (Jay) Prajapati, CEO of Kalp Digital Infrastructure Corp, explained that the company's focus is on providing the underlying technology that powers business platforms rather than operating directly as a consumer-facing brand. The collaboration is designed to scale across Peko's footprint in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India and other markets, extending to institutional partners and ecosystem enablers that distribute the Peko platform. As an initial step, both firms will jointly evaluate integration architecture, security and the commercial model, with the goal of introducing capabilities to Peko's ecosystem in phases.
