Reliance Jio and Canva have officially launched their strategic collaboration, providing free access to Canva Pro and Canva Pro Lite for eligible Jio users through the MyJio app. The partnership became available from September 16 across multiple channels, with users not required to pay any additional fee or face hidden charges. According to the latest announcement, Jio users recharging with the ₹399 plan will get Canva Pro, while those on the ₹349 plan and eligible 2GB-per-day plans priced above ₹349 will receive Canva Pro Lite. The companies have now confirmed that eligible users will get access to Canva's premium creative tools for up to 12 months at no additional cost, making this a significant enhancement from the initial offering.
Users can claim their free subscriptions directly through the MyJio application by opening the Canva offer and activating the subscription. As reported in the latest partnership details, this streamlined process ensures immediate access to premium design tools without additional complications. The collaboration combines Jio's extensive digital reach with Canva's design and AI capabilities, making these premium tools more accessible to students, creators, professionals, entrepreneurs and small businesses across India. The partnership is also expected to make it easier for users to create content in Hindi and multiple Indian languages, expanding accessibility beyond English-speaking users.
Canva offers millions of premium templates plus AI-powered design tools that enable users to create professional presentations, publicity materials, and various design projects. Canva Pro Lite includes premium templates, photos, videos and fonts, along with features such as one-tap background removal, basic Brand Kit tools, print-ready exports, Magic Resize and Magic Eraser. Canva Pro offers additional capabilities including Content Planner, Canva AI's conversational chat-to-design feature and higher limits for advanced AI tools. The platform also provides AI-powered tools for creating and editing visual content, alongside access to millions of design assets.
Reliance Industries Ltd. President Kiran Thomas emphasized the transformative potential of this collaboration, stating that it places world-class, AI-powered design tools in the hands of millions of Indians - free and accessible through MyJio. Thomas highlighted that the initiative empowers students, creators, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to create, learn, grow and earn in a digital-first India, all in their most comfortable language. Canva Co-Founder and COO Cliff Obrecht described the partnership as marking an exciting new chapter in Canva's journey in India, as reported by ANI. Obrecht noted that India is one of Canva's fastest-growing markets, with local businesses, creators and educators using the platform to bring their ideas to life. The collaboration aims to help bring the power of Canva to millions more people across the country and empower anyone to create, communicate, and bring their ideas to life.
