Sid's Farm, a direct-to-consumer dairy and foods brand, has successfully secured ₹81 crore ($8.5 million) in capital through its Pre-Series B funding round. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the funding round was led by major institutional investors including Omnivore, NSFO, Dodla Dairy, Next Bharat Ventures, and LIO, along with a consortium of other institutional investors. This round comes almost two years after Sid's Farm raised $10 million in a Series A, which the company used to expand into cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The fresh capital will be strategically deployed across multiple growth initiatives as reported by The Hindu BusinessLine. The funds will be used to strengthen the company's supply chain while expanding its manufacturing and distribution footprint. Additionally, Sid's Farm plans to direct resources toward product innovation, reinforcing partnerships with dairy farmers, and accelerating expansion into new geographic regions. The startup plans to use the money to grow pretty much everywhere at once, as reported by StartupStory, focusing on supply chain strengthening, manufacturing expansion, and market entry.
Addressing the capital raise, Founder Dr Kishore Indukuri emphasized the strategic importance of this investment, stating that it represents a vote of confidence by partners in the company's long-term vision. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, Dr Indukuri noted that the investment reflects confidence in establishing India's most trusted dairy brand that embodies safety as an inseparable ingredient throughout the entire value chain from farm to family's doorstep.
Sid's Farm's operating revenue grew 33.6% to ₹167.58 crore in FY25, up from ₹125.41 crore the previous year, according to StartupStory. The company operates in India's organised dairy segment, competing with players like Country Delight, Akshayakalpa Organic, Heritage Foods, and Dodla Dairy, which is also among the new investors in this round. The broader Indian dairy market was valued at around $32 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach $45 billion by 2031, based on market research estimates cited in reporting on the round.
Founded in 2016 by IIT Kharagpur alumnus and UMass Amherst PhD graduate Dr Kishore Indukuri, Sid's Farm operates as a direct-to-consumer dairy products provider serving more than 50,000 families across multiple cities. The company maintains a comprehensive quality assurance system that includes batch-wise testing covering 45 quality and safety parameters, executing over 10,000 daily tests. Sid's Farm operates two processing units - one in Telangana's Shabad and another in Tumkur - and works with over 5,000 dairy farmers to ensure contaminant-free procurement processes. The company's core lineup includes cow's milk, buffalo's milk, curd, and ghee, with its subscription model emphasizing food safety and traceability. Beyond consumers, it has partnered with about 5,000 dairy farmers and invested in farmer education, fair procurement practices, timely payments and veterinary support.
