
Bengaluru-based proptech startup Propsoch has successfully secured $2 million in a seed funding round to accelerate its growth trajectory. According to reports from The Economic Times, the funding round was led by early-stage venture capital firm Athera Venture Partners, with participation from Sparrow Capital and the Vakil Group. This latest funding round follows an earlier fundraising where Propsoch had raised a total of $600,000. The fresh funds will be used to improve research and advisory services, strengthen the team by hiring more employees, and expand presence into new markets.
As reported by The Economic Times, the funding will be utilized to strengthen Propsoch's core research and advisory capabilities, expand its internal teams across various business functions, and support strategic expansion into new regional markets. According to cofounder and CEO Ashish Acharya, the funding round helps deepen roots in the home market while expanding footprint into Mumbai. After successfully advising 1,500+ families in Bengaluru, the company is now scaling its ability to service 10,000+ homebuyers this year. The company's co-founder and Chief Product & Technology Officer is Ravi Agrawal.
According to market intelligence platform Tracxn, Propsoch posted a revenue of ₹1.89 crore and a loss of ₹18.7 lakh. The company has advised over 1,500 families in Bengaluru and plans to expand its footprint into Mumbai. Founded in 2022 by Acharya and Ravi Agrawal, Propsoch helps homebuyers at every stage of the home-buying process, from finding and shortlisting properties to securing the best possible deal. The platform uses a combination of AI-powered research and expert analysis to help customers make informed decisions, evaluating properties using more than 80 factors, including builder reputation, construction quality, project performance, and future growth potential. So far, Propsoch has analyzed over 500 projects in Bengaluru and partnered with more than 210 builders.
As reported by The Economic Times, Propsoch's prior capital injections included a pre-seed round backed by the family office arms of both the Godrej Group and the Vakil Group. The company's early-stage funding was also supported by prominent angel investors, including Mohit Malhotra, the former Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Properties, and Bhaskar Bhat, the former Managing Director of Titan Company. This latest seed round represents the company's continued growth in the competitive proptech sector as the industry continues to expand and more buyers look for smarter ways to purchase homes.
